Admission
Eligibility & Admission Procedure :-
- Students who have passed the 10th Standard / SSLC ( State Board or CBSE / ICSE ) are eligible for admission to I Year PUC.
- Students who have passed the I year PUC in any other College ( State Board or CBSE / ICSE ) are eligible for admission to II Year PUC.
- Application Forms downloaded from this website(link to download application form )/ collected from the college must be duly filled and submitted to the Principal on or before the specified date.
- Candidates from outside Karnataka shall produce Migration Certificate and Eligibility Certificate, Caste Certificate in the prescribed form duly signed by the Tahshildar shall be enclosed for claiming concessions and privileges earmarked for such students for selection and admission.
On Admission, The Students Shall Produce :-
- Original SSLC Marks Card for verification with a photocopy.
- Original Transfer Certificate with a photocopy.
- ICSE/CBSE students shall submit two photo copies of both Marks Card and Transfer Certificate.
General Information
- Students should possess the college identity card and produce it whenever asked for.
- The working hours for regular classes from Monday to Saturday are between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Competitive classes will be conducted from 4 pm to 7 pm by SADHANA ACADEMY.
- Meeting the Principal: Parents should meet the Principal/ Administrator by appointment only. Parents may meet the Principal/ Administrator on Thursday and Friday from 3:30 pm. to 5:30 pm.
- After every exam, the marks cards will be sent through SMS or handed over to the parents/student in person.
- As per the PU Board, every student must have a minimum of 75% attendance per subject. Students who have less than 75% attendance in any subject will not be allowed to take the Annual/ Board Exams/. Every month Attendance will be updated on the notice board.
- The college takes serious note of misbehavior, insubordination, habitual tardiness, irregular work habits, inattention in class, late coming and obscenity which will be dealt with by temporary or permanent dismissal. Any offence will be dealt with seriously.
- Students are strictly forbidden from bringing mobile phones or any form of electronic gadgets to the college. Any such gadgets would be confiscated and not returned. Students will also be penalised for bringing such gadgets.
- Internal assessment is part of the curriculum and the students’ performance and growth will be assessed regularly. As per the PU Board norms, unit tests, midterm exams, preparatory exams and annual exams along with practical exams in the relevant subjects will be conducted during the course of one academic year.
- Ragging is a major punishable offence. Hence ragging, or indulging in it whether in a ‘serious’ or ‘friendly manner will not be tolerated. Encouragement of ragging is also punishable. Those found indulging in ragging will face dismissal from college and no excuse or reasoning will be accepted in this regard.
- The Honorable Supreme Court of India has given a comprehensive meaning of ragging as under: “Ragging is any disorderly conduct, whether by words spoken or written, or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any student, indulging in rowdy or indisciplined activities which cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the psyche of a fresher or a junior student.”
- A student who is absent for less than 3 days should avail the signature from the authorized person before entering the class room. However a student absent for 3 or more days should avail the signature of the Principal.
- Equipments in the laboratory should be handled with care. Damages will be fined.. 34. The admission is for 2 years. However the college has the authority to cancel the admission if found guilty.
- Leave letter should be submitted to the class teacher in case of leave or absence.
- Science students should wear apron compulsorily in the chemistry lab.
- Parents can meet Class Teacher / Vice Principal / Principal between 11-00 a.m. to 2-30 pm.
- Parents are strictly advised to attend the Parent-Teachers’ Meetings.
- Students are not allowed to enter the campus after 9-30 a.mThey should be in their classrooms before 9-00 a.m.
- The parents and students should follow Institutional Plan.
- Science Students should attend the Labs regularly and update the Record Books.
